WHAT IS THE BUDDY WALK?
Established nationally in 1995 to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month and provide an annual public platform for advocacy. It brings together people with Down syndrome and their “buddies” —everyone from friends and family to teachers, politicians and coworkers— to promote acceptance and inclusion for people with Down syndrome and to raise funds for education, research and advocacy programs.
WHY SUPPORT IT?
Sponsors help cover the cost of this event to ensure that more dollars raised go to support the Down syndrome community which affects more than 400,000 people in the United States alone.
Sponsors also receive significant market exposure through an alignment with the Chicagoland Buddy Walk. Your business can be featured in digital and print ads, on social media and in-person to over 3,500 guests who attend each year.
